Work History

The following list includes the most recent full-time administrative and teaching positions I have held at Texas A&M University. In addition to my full-time appointments, I have worked as a part-time consultant in the areas of curriculum development and program assessment. For example, I worked for an international consulting firm, Leadership Development International (LDi), to help prepare experiential learning curricula and materials for use at the international campuses with which they had partnered. For more information about my work for LDi, please see Consulting. I have also worked for the Center for Teaching Excellence to develop rubrics and resources for assessing program-level outcomes in departments seeking faculty development and program support. These resources include an online portfolio tool that integrates program-level outcomes with student reflections and artifacts for use of program assessment as well the student's career and post-graduate advancement. Several online templates I have created include the following: EcoSystem Science and Management, University Honors Program, Masters of Land and Property Development, Chemical Engineering. For CTE, I also created multiple resources to help faculty facilitate and assess high-impact practices through student-guided reflection. These materials are available online at the CTE Faculty and Learning Portal. (These materials are currently being updated online.)

In addition I have edited many technical writing resources, including textbooks and teacher manuals. These editing projects keep me current on the latest topics, issues, and resources affecting technical writing curricula, and many of my suggestions have been incorporated (and credited) into the textbooks I have reviewed.
